Asia has been touted as the next economic zone in the world. In one of many youth surveys seeking to view of youth around the world on their views of the world today, Asians youth are the most optimistic of their economic development and available opportunities, compared to youths from Europe. However, while some youths may show passion, commitment and intelligence beyond their years, their level of maturity and motivation still leaves a lot to be desired. Many organizations complain of engaging young talents to subsequently losing them to bigger organization or losing them because they just lose their zeal. What we can do to ensure that the young talents can be properly groom and made to contribute to the society today? How do we engage Asian youths and young talents today that will raise their level of economic contribution and prepare them to assume the next generation leadership?

14.00 – 15.30 Panel DiscussionNetworking for Success

Many of us have heard of the “old boys’ network”. Essentially, we all realized that the senior professionals and those who do business with each other often have their own exclusive networking that enable them to come together to share and collaborate. How then do young professionals join such network? The fact remains that in our world today, what you know is not as important as who you know. As a young professional, joining the “old boys’ network” is often beyond their current means. Coupling this with the fact that networking at professional level can often be daunting and frightening for the younger ones. What can young ones learn from those who have successfully network for their own success? What must they do deliberately to ensure that they too can network for success?
